Listings are a starting point

We work to keep events and listings accurate, but dates, places and details can change. Always confirm with the host before you go. Auntie Knows Native isn't responsible for events or businesses run by others. A badge confirms who owns a business; it is not a review of the business or its products. Each business is responsible for its own product claims and for following any law that applies to what it sells.

What we publish

We list only events their hosts make public, and never ceremonies. We may edit, decline or remove any listing, event or ad, including anything inaccurate, disrespectful, or against our badge and advertiser rules.

When you send us something

By sending an event, photo or description, you confirm you have the right to share it and you allow us to publish it on the site and our social media. You can ask us to take it down anytime.

Business listings and badges

Business listings are paid placements, labeled Sponsored, and follow the rules on the advertise page. Community events and community resources are listed free. Payment is made when a listing is submitted and renews monthly until canceled. We review every listing before it appears. If we decline a listing, we refund the payment in full. Listings appear in a rotating order; paying does not buy a higher position.

Badges are free, verified separately, and can't be bought. A listing can be approved without a badge; a badge that isn't approved is not a reason for a refund. We never ask for enrollment cards or identity documents through our forms or by regular email; verification steps are sent separately and securely. A false claim of Native or tribal ownership removes the badge and the listing without refund.
